- Citizenship in Society MB Class
We will be meeting at the Sanford Civic Center at 5:30 pm. There is no meeting at Willow Creek this week. Please do not show up there as the gates will be locked.
Class A uniform is required for all scouts. Mr. Fogg will bring the blue cards with him and distribute them to you before the course begins. Please bring pen and paper with you as well. When you arrive, look for our Troop. We will gather in one area. There will be a lot of scouts coming for this merit badge. Please be on time so you can get inside and be seated in time for the course to begin. Please print and review the merit badge prior to Tuesday as this will assist you in completing the requirements.

This year the mayor’s youth council is focused on promoting diversity and equity within our community. This initiative connects well with BSA’s own diversity and inclusion projects, so the Mayor’s Youth Council is putting on a Citizenship in Society merit badge class to further our reach.
The Citizenship in Society merit badge will be Eagle required for all scouts who submit their Eagle paperwork after July 1st, so this is a great opportunity to get it out of the way. All requirements will be covered, and there will be a merit badge counselor there to sign your blue cards. If you are participating and following directions, you will be able to earn the merit badge in just one evening. More information about the merit badge can be found here.
This merit badge is largely discussion-based, so it would very beneficial for you to review some of the requirements before the event to get an idea of what we will be discussing. You can download Citizenship in Society Worksheets.
