Duct Tape Regatta Rules and Build Guidelines (May Program)

In May we will be hosting the first Duct Tape Regatta in the lake at Lakefront Assembly.  Scouts will be able to form teams, either by patrol or ad hoc, and construct a boat made solely of duct tape and cardboard to transport at least two scouts.  Rafts will be judged on fastest to complete race course, longest afloat, and design amongst other categories.

Complete rules and race specifics here:

Scouts, leaders, and adults must pledge to follow the rules…A scout is Trustworthy.

We will have three troop meetings to work on building: 4/28, 5/5, 5/12.  This will NOT be enough time to build your boats. Patrols/teams need to schedule extra build sessions outside of troop meetings.

Patrols/teams need to supply their own duct tape and card board. Walmart bulk packs have proven to be the best price. Please read rules regarding type of tape and cardboard.
