This is a letter from the managers for Winter Camp at Camp La-No-Che to our Scout Master, Duane Fogg.
I’m one of the managers for Winter Camp this year at Camp La-No-Che. I’m reaching out because I’m still looking to hire some staff members for the Winter Season (Which is also a great “in” for Summer Camp if anyone is interested).
The sessions are: December 20-22, December 27-30 (Staff arrive December 26), and January 2-5 (Staff arrive morning January 2).
I’m primarily looking for help in the following areas:
- Leadership/STEM (Teaches the Eagle merit badges: Citizenship in the World, Citizenship in Nation, Personal Management, and Communication. STEM teaches Engineering, Game Design, and Robotics)
- Healthcraft/Handicraft (Teaches the “First Aid and Crafts” merit badges: Emergency Preparedness, First Aid, and Personal Fitness. Handicraft: Art/Animation, Chess, Leather/Wood Carving, Pottery/Sculpture, Wood Working)
- Scoutcraft (Teaches the “Scout Skills”: Camping, Cooking, Hiking, Wilderness Survival). I only need Scoutcraft Staff for Session 3 though.
We’re offering:
- A competitive salary
- Room and Board provided
- Training Opportunities
- Potential Summer Employment
If anyone is interested, they can reach out to me directly at [email protected]
So, if anyone is interested, I’d love to talk with them and see where we could use them. However, there is a minimum age requirement of 15 (National Camp Standards and Department of Labor requirements).
