Now that football is winding down and spring is in the air – it’s time for our annual mulch sale – the main fundraiser for the Troop.
This year marks our 29th year of selling mulch.
This year we are changing things up a bit to make the sale run smoother and more efficiently.
- Biggest change is that we have a new website (https://tinyurl.com/787Mulch2026) which makes the process of ordering mulch much easier.
- Next change is that payment is collected when the mulch is ordered. No more knocking at the door to collect a check when the mulch is delivered.
- The price of the mulch is $65 a yard. Unlike previous years, there is no discount for additional bags. (Ex. 2 yards is $130)
Also pass the information out to friends and family who live in the delivery area so they too can order what they need.
We will have some flyers at the troop meetings that you can pass out to anyone who might be interested.
Delivery Dates in 2026
- Saturday February 14th, 21st and 28th
- Saturdays March 7th
We offer Cypress, Red, Midnight Black, Chocolate Brown, Large Pine Bark and Mini Pine Bark Nuggets.
Last Day to Order is February 21st.
Things you can do to insure a successful sale.
- Promote the sale! Attached is a flyer that you can put on social media as well as hand out to your friends, family, and neighbors. Posting on social media, especially community Facebook groups that are local help promote the sale.
- Please try to keep the sales local – we deliver to Casselberry, Winter Springs, Oviedo, Geneva area. If the sale is too far away, it may not be profitable for us to do deliveries. If you do have friends that want to order who are outside of this delivery area, please help us by coordinating the delivery. We have one adult leader whose friends in Sanford buy mulch each year. He will in turn personally deliver the mulch to them.
- Make copies of the attached flyer and give to friends, family, and neighbors.
- Ask local businesses if they are interested in supporting Scouts by buying mulch
- Help with the delivery (This is when the fun really starts!)
