Summer Camp La-No-Che 2020

Now that we are past the initial signups and Merit Badge selections. Here are some updated information about summer camp.

First off, we are still accepting signups for both weeks of summer camp at Camp La No Che and will have a table setup at the meetings. 

  • The total cost for the week of summer camp is $350, which includes the $320 cost to Camp La No Che plus $30 extra for troop born expenses and extras for the participants during the week.  Any excess funds will be evenly divided and redeposited to the scout’s Scout Accounts after camp. 
  • The first payment of $150 will be due by April 7th and the final payment of $150 will be due by May 19th.  Please pay finance in the conference room and bring the yellow copy of the receipt to the signup table.
  • If you want to know your current Merit Badge Assignments, contact Chris or Eric.
  • Medical Forms, all parts, must be current and on file before we depart. Click this to download.
  • If you haven’t’ completed a permission slip, please do so as soon as possible.
  • You can download the Suggested packing list to help scouts begin planning for the week. FYE parents may also like to review the linked parent guide for additional information about Summer Camp at La No Che. As always Troop 787 will be staying in Campsite 19, where we will be staying in Adirondack-style cabins and not in tents.
  • Some Merit Badges have required prerequisites and/or required clothing.  Please review the linked Merit Badge/Class Summer Camp booklet for guidance.
  • The troop performed a Swim test before we go to La No Che, additionally the first day of Camp we will have do the swim test for those scouts who do not have a current swim test.
  • For those scouts considering doing both weeks of Summer Camp, there is a $25 discount for the second week. And there is a sibling discount of $20 for each sibling.
  • There is a troop campership available for any scout that wants to go to summer camp but is having trouble funding the week.
  • Additional leaders, with current medical forms and YPT certificates on file, are welcome and encouraged to join in the fun.
