Details:
The city Emergency Management Director, Batallion Chief, and Police Chief will meet our troop and give us a tour of the emergency management center. This will satisfy requirement 6 of the Emergency Preparedness MB.
- Wear Class A uniforms
- Meet in front of the Police Station Entrance at 6:50pm
Homework – The following E-Prep requirements will not be covered in troop meetings and scouts need to complete on their own.
- First Aid Merit Badge – if not already earned
- Requirement 8b – Prepare a family emergency kit (suitcase or waterproof box) for use by your family in case an emergency evacuation is needed. Explain the needs and uses of the contents. Record a video of your emergency kit explaining why you chose items for the kit.
- Requirement 9b – Review or develop a plan of escape for your family in case of fire in your home. Take a picture of your escape plan
