Working on the Geocaching Merit Badge requirements
- Patrols bring treasure (patches, 787 memorabilia, coins, tied knot samples, etc….) to place in ammo boxes for geocache creation. Blazing Aces Patrol to supply Ammo boxes.
- Patrols will also create an insulated backpack oven for use in freezer bag cooking, so they can create meals at camp on a more friendly budget than mountain house freeze dried packs.
- Requirement #7 – With parents at home, at any time during the month of February:
- With your parent’s permission, go to www.geocaching.com. Type in your city and state to locate public geocaches in your area. Share the posted information about three of those geocaches with your counselor. Then, pick one of the three and find the cache.
- To fulfill this requirement, you will need to set up a free user account with www.geocaching.com. Ask your parent for permission and help before you do so.
