It’s that time of year again where Scouts across the nation collect food to help families in need.
This is one of the biggest gestures of goodwill and Scouting Spirit that our program does each year. And, of course, Scouts will earn service hours.
We will need adults with trucks or SUVs to work with their patrols to collect the donations. Each patrol will have an assigned area to work in. Small patrols will be combined if necessary.
Let’s please meet at 08:30 am on Saturday, 13 November, in the field behind the church and we will break into patrols. I will hand out maps of your assigned neighborhoods. And then each patrol can depart on their own to begin food collection.
Once you have completed collection in your neighborhood, please return to the church and we will start to consolidate the collection for final delivery to the local food bank.
