The Troop cut-off registration point will be April 26th. We currently have places held for up to 65 participants. we had to secure the spots in March to get the early bird price which also included the commemorative patch for $20. DO NOT REGISTER INDIVIDUALLY THROUGH COUNCIL.
*NOTE*:if spots aren’t filled by the 26th, then the troop will seek reimbursement from the council on unfilled reservations, so it’s critical that we get everyone that wants to attend registered within the next few weeks.

Tom Hoisington will be GrubMaster for the troop and has advised that the cost per Scout/Adult is $12 each (this cost includes our donation to the Charcuterie Board).
  • Saturday Breakfast:  Provided by troop
  • Saturday Lunch:  Food trucks will be available scouts and adults need to bring $15 to buy their own lunch from the various food vendors.
  • Saturday dinner:  Provided by troop
  • Sunday breakfast:  Provided by troop.

What’s happening at the camporee?

  • Competitions events such as: Fire building, knot tying(pioneering), first aid, emergency preparedness, pioneering, team building skills , orienteering, hiking.

from what I understand, the scouts will be giving a booklet and as they attend activities, they were learned stamps as they complete each area. If they collect stamps from all areas they will earn a limited-edition Challenge Coin for the Centennial Camporee.

Also, some more activities that are happening:

  • World’s Longest Scout Cracker Barrel, Shooting Ranges, Climbing Wall, Native American Experience, Obstacle Course, HAM radio, Zipline, Making a Camp Hammer, Blacksmithing.
  • Various food vendors – food trucks, etc
    • This will be utilized for Saturday’s lunch, as the Scouts will be out and about doing activities (more soon)
  • Too much to list see here https://scoutingevent.com/083-camporee100

This event will have 3000 attending, our campsites will be 40 ft wide and 100 ft long. 20 ft of the 100 is for a truck pulling a trailer. Because we will have over 40 attendees we will get 2 sites and be allowed 2 trucks and 2 trailers in the camping area. ALL OTHER VEHICLES will not be allowed on the camping grounds, they will be diverted to a “parking area”.

Back in 2011 – Troop 787 hosted the Council Camporee and set the record for the largest event ever in Central Florida Council history with 3200+ attendees. The Council is targeting this event to be bigger. Because of the history of 100 years for Central Florida Council there will be some big historical BSA Displays. They will also bring in many entities: Sheriff, Fire Fighters, Army, NASA, etc. See the guide for more information.

Based on what I read, our troop will be setup in Rybolt Field with many other troops. In 2011, there were 159 troops present.
