Program Patrol: Blazing Aces
Details:
February 20: Arrive at Willow Creek Church at 0800, depart 0830.
- This is a backpacking campout. Pack as though you are heading out into the Thunder backcountry.
- There is potable water, a full restroom facility with flush toilets and showers, a campfire ring with a hinged grill, and small charcoal grill at the group campground.
- For adult use only, there are wheelbarrows at the ferry dock which can be loaded up and taken onto the ferry. Once on the island, the contents can be placed in a delivery van and taken to the group campground.
- All scouts will be expected to pack everything in on their backs. It’s only 0.3 miles to the group campground from the island dock.
- Patrols can do patrol method cooking or individual backpack meals. They’ll need to do Saturday lunch and dinner, and Sunday breakfast. Adults will be individual meals. The theme for this campout is minimalist camping, Philmont or Thunder backcountry style.
February 21: Leave camp at 1100, Arrive at Willow Creek Church at 1200.
