Detail:

We will be meeting at the Speedway on 434 off of 417 at 5:15 pm on Friday to make our way to Camp LaNoChe.  With a crew this size we expect to load up and depart in a matter of minutes.  Speedway gas station, 1501 E State Rd 434, Winter Springs, FL 32708.  We plan to return to the same spot on Sunday at approximately 11am.  Those that are going as OA Staff have made alternate travel arrangements.

Remember to bring all the usual items needed for camping, but pay particular attention to bring a Personal Tent, Sleeping pad, Bug Spray, Daypack with flashlight, first aid kit, water bottle. You will not need a mess kit as we will be eating in the dining hall.  You may want to bring some money to eat at the OA grill or to purchase items from vendors that will be onsite.

Please print out and bring a copy of the Scouting Heritage Merit Badge Worksheet as we will do some work on the merit badge while at the campout.

We will play some old-timey scout games, visit the OA museum at camp, and learn about the origins of the Scouting Movement to fulfill some of the requirements of Scouting Heritage.   During their visit to the OA Museum, scouts can take part in a scavenger hunt that we will explain at camp; the exciting part is that the top scorer will receive a Central Florida Contingent Patch Set from the 2017 National Jamboree.  This set is still highly collectible.
