Join us for a weekend of Fly Fishing! Troop 787 will venture to Tomoka State Park for a weekend of Fun, Fishing, Canoeing and Adventure!
Even if you already have Fly Fishing Merit Badge, this trip will prove to be a memorable one!

We meet at Black Hammock Friday afternoon for the 1-hour trek to Ormond Beach. Tent camp Friday and Saturday nights at the youth camp along the banks of the Tomoka River, returning to black hammock approximately 12:00pm Sunday.
Cost for camping is $20/pp. Youth and Adult. Patrol grub fee is separate. Adult grub fee is TBD.
Activities:
We begin Saturday by learning proper casting techniques, knots, and how to make your own flies. Scouts will filet and cook their own fish. After lunch Scouts will attempt to catch their own fish at multiple fishing locations and/or enjoy canoeing the lagoon in the Tomoka River.
BEACH / WATER SHOES AND BUG SPRAY ARE HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Patrol Method will be used for all meals. Patrols need to plan meals that include Saturday breakfast, lunch and Dinner along with Sunday Breakfast.
Plan an easy no-cook breakfast for Sunday morning.

We have access to the picnic tables, potable water and restroom facilities at the pavilion. Full power is available in certain RV/tent sites a few hundred yards from the Youth area.
