The demonstration focuses on gear needed for Camp Thunder in January, but Joel will also show gear that will be needed throughout scouting.
Joel will try to use his experience hiking at Thunder with the troop, hiking throughout Central Florida, hiking with a crew at Philmont in 2021, and thru-hiking the entire Appalachian Trail in 2024 to provide some guidance on what you really need and considerations to make hiking with a pack a bit more pleasant.
Part of the discussion will center on getting needed gear without breaking the bank.
