Emergency Preparedness Merit Badge is an Eagle-required merit badge option. Since it is the month of October, we will be putting a Zombie spin on things, turning E=Prep into Z-Prep. At this campout, we will cover the more hands-on and active requirements while also enjoying the scenery of Turkey Lake.
- Various E-Prep requirements will be covered (2c, 3, 4, 5, 7a)
- Zombie Themed activities and games
- Patrol cooking in patrol kitchens.
- Two large group campsites with shady areas
- Air-conditioned assembly hall and outdoor kitchen
- All scouts will be buddy tenting in by patrol/age groups.
- Bring your fishing gear to take advantage of the award-winning fishing in Turkey Lake.
- Bring a board game to share for our game nights in the air-conditioned group pavilion.
- Bring sports balls and frisbees for games in the fields.
Scouts need to find a buddy in their patrol to share a tent. Fees for the park are by tent, so scouts need to share to keep costs down. Adults will single tent.
Patrols are doing their own cooking and need to coordinate their grub master and own grub fees accordingly. Plan for Friday cracker barrel, and cooked meals for Saturday breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Plan an easy/no-cook breakfast for Sunday.
- Arrive at Black Hammock by 5:30 pm for immediate carpool departure on Friday.
- Pick up at Black Hammock at approximately 11:30am on Sunday.
