Updates from Keith – 06/03/2023
Only 4 more weeks until we depart for Camp Rainey Mountain. Total fees for CRM total $685 plus merit badge fees for scouts. This includes camp fees, transportation and white water rafting. Most scouts have completed the first two payments (totalling $497). The remaining balance is summarized in the email that was sent today. Where applicable, the merit badge class fee is included. Final payment must be made to finance no later than 6/13/2023. Please note, these fees reflect cash/check payment. Payments made via PayPal require an additional 3% processing fee.
We have 3 full time adults (Keith Miller, Chris Camp and Danny Negron) and one partial week adult (Patrick Carroll).
Find attached the class schedule per scout in the same email. Please print your scout’s class schedule and have them bring it with them to camp.
Updates from Keith – 04/15/2023
We have another scout joining us. Registration for all scouts is complete. Please review your schedule attached from my email and let me know if you have any questions or changes. We are still looking for at least one more adult leader to join Chris and myself for the full week of camp. Scouts, please discuss with your patrol ASMs. We will also be making requests at the weekly meetings.

Camp Rainey Mountain has a payment schedule consisting of three payments. Payment 1 was paid by the troop in February. Every registered scout should have paid the initial fee of $180 to finance already. If you have not paid the initial deposit, please do so immediately.
Payment 2 is due to camp 5/4/2023. This payment must include a second scout camp fee installment of $215 and the rafting fee of $102 for a total of $317. This is the cash/check payment. Payment by PayPal incurs an additional fee. This payment is due to finance no later than 4/25/2023.
Payment 3 is due 1-2 weeks prior to our camp start date. This will include the remaining camping fees, merit badge fees and transportation costs. We will send out scout specific totals with the merit badge fees.
Updates from Keith & Chris – 04/03/2023
14 scouts are registered for camp with merit badge selections completed. Each scout will receive their MB schedule shortly. Please review the schedule and request changes/corrections as soon as possible. Note that some of the selections have associated fees. The group has also reserved our white water rafting adventure. The trip is guided by Wildwater LTD Chattooga River White Water Rafting, Georgia & SC Rafting (wildwaterrafting.com). The boys will be completing a full day guided trip on the Chattooga river Section III. This fee is due to the camp immediately and has been paid by the troop.

The camp information guide is in work and almost complete. We will schedule a parents meeting and distribute the information guide in the near future.

Reminder Troop 787, if you are attending summer camp at Camp Rainey Mountain, complete your MB selections using this form Camp Rainey Mountain Activity Choices no later than 3/24/2023. Late submission may lead to your desired MB not being available.

Great to see scouts already signed up for Camp Rainey Mountain summer camp. There is still plenty of room but time is running out. The camp fees came in a little higher than originally expected. The total for scouts is $685 and the total for adults is $485. The fees include white water rafting on Thursday and early arrival Saturday evening.

Registration for Rainey Mountain Summer Camp 2023 is now open on TroopMaster. This will be a great out of state summer camp experience in north Georgia. White water rafting is planned as a group activity.
Those interested in attending should register as soon as possible and submit the initial payment of $180 (total $550-575).
Review the program guide and course schedule attached. Begin planning merit badge selections. We will continue to communicate updates to the troop.
