THE WARRIORS OF VALHALLA HAS CHALLENGED OUR TROOP!
YES! THE EAGLE EMPIRE DISTRICT CHALLENGED US TO SEE IF SOME PATROL IN OUR TROOP CAN BUILD A RAFT THAT IS FASTER OR BETTER LOOKING THAN THEIR RAFTS..
THE SILVER KNIGHT’S Patrol believes that if our Troop joined together we can build a faster and better looking raft than any other Troop in FLORIDA! perhaps the whole United States!
WE HAVE ENGINEERS, BUILDERS, VETERANS and GREAT SCOUTS in our TROOP TO do it!
TO ACCOMPLISH THIS GOAL-We will be needing help from all ASMS available to assist our Scouts.
We are aiming to get 40 Scouts and 18 adults to participate. We need ASM’s to reach out to their patrol leaders and ask patrol members who would like to participate.
Together we can have fun and win at the CENTRAL FLORIDA RAFT REGATTA!
How do we prepare for the REGATTA?
- SCOUTS DESIGN AND BUILD THEIR OWN RAFT & RACE IT ON A LAKE
- SCOUTS WILL also have the opportunity to COMPETE in time shaver events- Fire Building, Lashings, Stretcher Relay, Navigation, Watercraft identification (parts of canoe & Paddle).
- They will also have a Patrol Flag Competition
THIS IS PURE FUN!
TROPHIES AND AWARDS WILL BE GIVEN OUT !

FAMILY MEMBERS and SPECTATORS are INVITED TO attend the day of the RACE.
- Campout Date: September 16th-18th – Put it on your Calender : )
- Location: Camp – La-No-Che
- Cost: FREE! We are just responsible for providing our food.
We are planning for at least 4 Patrols of at least 8-10 Scouts for each raft. The smaller patrols will be combined to form a team of 10 Scouts.
We will be sending out more information on planning, setting patrols and build up dates and event schedule.
