Camping – Shangri-La

Thanks to all who participated and made this trip icing on the cake for the cycling program.
We had 31 riders who rode a total of 540 miles! There were 7 who completed a 22 mile ride, which is one of the requirements to earn the merit badge. One scout completed all the requirements and has his blue card signed off.
Cycling MB in November
Dates: Saturdays in November
It is November, which is cycling month! The Silver Knights patrol is providing opportunities this month to complete the Cycling merit badge.
There have been several organized rides so far, and expect more throughout November. Contact Mike Kochmann if there is a particular ride you want to suggest.
Camping – Scout Island in October

The Blazing Aces Patrol put of a grand weekend adventure with canoeing, Scout skill competition, excellent grub, airplane races, fishing and more. They also dialed up some great camping weather.

Sea Base 2020
Dates: 07/31/2020 to 08/06/2020
Scouts selected the Florida Keys STEM Eco Adventure that accommodates 12 Scouts (Including Leaders). Here is the description from Sea Base:
STEM ECO ADVENTURE: Your crew’s home and base of operation for the week will be two 40- to 45-foot sailboats. From there, you will launch into your undersea world of exploration by means of snorkel, mask, and fins; kayak; or fishing pole and glassbottom viewer.
Northern Tier 2020
Dates: 07/25/2020 to 08/01/2020
This summer, we have 2 crews (16 people) going to Northern Tier, the high adventure scout base in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness between Minnesota and Canada.

Our resident camera guy (Tom Reynolds) did not make this trip, but several adults were taking photos, we will look to get copies and place them on the goggle drive.
