Update on 7/6/2020:

Summer Camp at Lanoche has been cancelled!

Update on 5/29/2020:

Summer Camp at Camp La No che is fast approaching and though we haven’t yet received the final confirmation on what shape camp will take this July we need to make preparations.  Camp LaNoChe has a web posting about their health initiatives regarding Covid-19 that you can review at the following link (https://www.camplanoche.com/covid-19/).  We are aiming to make this as smooth as possible but timing with the pandemic has require to push back and compress timelines. In light of this please take note of the list of items below:

  • Medical Forms – We will need updated Medical forms part A – C for each attending, there may will also be a  “Pre-Event Medical Screening Checklist” to complete before camp but this has not yet been confirmed.
  • Payments – We will be sending further information about how to make the final payment once we have confirmation from the LaNoche on Summer Camp in July.
  • Dues – In order to participate in summer camp, scouts must be current on their dues.
  • Swim Test – Mr Reynolds and the Sea Dragons intend to put together a swim test before summer camp if possible.  More will follow.
  • Refunds – I haven’t heard from some scouts that were signed up for June as to how they want their refund, If I don’t hear back, the refund will be deposited in the Scout Account.
  • Merit badge books – Camp La No Che suggest that scouts should consider getting merit badge books for the merit badges that they are taking before getting to summer.  Many booklets are available online for download.
  • Camp Equipment ListDownload attached the recommended list of equipment and gear needed.

Update on 5/5/2020:

We did book half of Campsite 19 for Week #6 –  July 12-18 week which would mean we would have up to 25 scouts and 4 leaders. However, with the anticipated restrictions our max is up to 15 and 2 adults in the facilities (actual is still to be determined).
To date, there are currently 15 scouts booked and registered with merit badge classes selected for the week of July 12-18. These scouts are all set if they do proceed with this week of camp onsite.
To date, there have been 5 requests to move from Week #1 To Week #6, these 5 scouts are now on Troop 787’s July Summer Camp waiting list. Once we get confirmation of how many scouts we can send, we will process them off the waiting list.
Any who would like to transfer to the July waiting list should respond to Mr. Thompson’s email requesting you notify him of your request to switch. This waiting list will be first come first serve.
