🔥 Campout Theme: High Adventure
This weekend is all about teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving under pressure. To connect this campout to the high-adventure programs we’ve been discussing at troop meetings, we’re incorporating a key element they all share: On high-adventure treks, crews are issued pre-packed bags of ingredients and must work together to prepare their own meals in the field. We’re leaning into that concept and turning it into a fun, competitive challenge for the patrols.
Activities:
🍳 Iron Chef Challenge (Breakfast Saturday, Sunday & Dinner Saturday)
Patrols will be given a set of ingredients and tasked with creating their own meals—Iron Chef style. Scouts will need to plan, collaborate, and execute using only what’s provided. Scoring criteria will be shared with the ingredients—expect creativity, teamwork, and execution to matter.
🥪 Lunch (Saturday)
Lunch will be provided by the Adults. It will be simple, quick, and designed to keep everyone fueled for the day’s activities.
🏃♂️ High Adventure Relay Challenge
Scouts will compete in a relay-style event featuring stations inspired by high-adventure activities. Expect teamwork, problem-solving, and a lot of energy.
(Some stations may include packs and canoes.)
