DESCRIPTION:\n 	Working on Pioneering Merit Badge Requirements\n\n 	Knots\n
 \n\n\nOur main goal is to teach you how to tie knots and lashings with han
 ds-on experience. We will provide a pioneering starter kit on a FCFS basis
  (we have 50).\n\n\nWe plan to be at the church at 6:20 to handout kits an
 d work with the boys fusing rope which is an outdoor activity.  It would 
 be great if you could plan to arrive a little earlier than normal to compl
 ete the fusing activity.\n\nThe list of requirements we plan to cover duri
 ng the October 5th session are as follows:\n\n 	1A: hazards you might enco
 unter while participating in pioneering activities.\n 	Parts of 2B: Clove 
 Hitch (Depending on progress we will add more knots from section 2B)\n 	Pa
 rts of 2C:  Square lashing\, and Diagonal lashing and derived requirement
  of Timber hitch.\n 	2A: fusing rope at minimum\, and potentially whipping
  methods time permitting.\n 	There will be a slide deck that will provide 
 clear answers to the theory parts of this merit badge\,  and will likely
  email the sections out after we've covered the material in the meetings.
